Overall coordination and scientific/technological assistance
Overall coordination and scientific/technological assistance of the Joint Project have been the responsibility of Emscher Wassertechnik GmbH, under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. H. Scheer. This also includes support in disseminating the results and the organising of the project-related DWA working group BIZ-11.3. The support for the disseminating the results and the DWA working group BIZ-11.3 have been continued by Emscher Wassertechnik GmbH even beyond the end of the regular project period (October 2016). |
Scientific sub-coordination
The overall coordination effort has been supported by two scientific sub-coordinators, who are constructively monitoring the Joint Project and the results it establishes:
Among other things, the sub-coordinators’ task is to provide technical support in coordinating the drafting of the "DWA Topics" issue and in conducting events for the express purpose of capacity development on the basis of the project results. |
BMBF project management
The project is being overseen on the BMBF’s behalf by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe, Water Technology and Waste Management Division (PTKA-WTE) in the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). |
Support in disseminating results and in the public relations field
The German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) is providing support for the dissemination of the results and in the public relations field. This also includes provision of support for the project-related DWA working group BIZ-11.3 "Design of wastewater treatment plants in warm and cold climatic zones", as well as the elaboration of the DWA Topics T4/2016 issue of the same name. |
Advisory committee
The Joint Project is also being monitored by an advisory committee set up by the BMBF. The advisory committee consists of representatives of internationally-oriented development collaboration institutions (KfW Bank, GIZ) and independent experts from the wastewater sector.
